The World Bank is one of the leading research development institutions in the world, active in every area of development in over 130 emerging and developing economies across the globe. Our goal is to eradicate poverty and boost shared prosperity on a livable planet. We offer support to developing countries through policy advice, research and analysis, and technical assistance. Our analytical work often underpins World Bank financing and helps inform developing countries' own investments.
