About the event
The VCP (Trade Union for Professionals) represents the interests of professionals across a wide range of sectors, including education, healthcare, aviation, defence, and multinational industries. Professionals are at the core of the VCP’s work, with a strong focus on ensuring good working conditions, fair income, sustainable pensions, and the continued development and recognition of professional expertise.
As a trade union federation, the VCP plays an active role in the Netherlands’ socio-economic landscape, participating in key consultative bodies such as the SER (Social and Economic Council) and the Stichting van de Arbeid. Through these platforms, the VCP helps shape national policy on work, income, taxation, pensions, and education, advocating for the position and progression of professionals in Dutch society.
In this workshop for NEO 2025, the VCP will present insights into the work of policy officer Amerik Klapwijk, exploring how trade unions influence socio-economic policy, labour law, innovation, and working conditions.…
